Ore deposit type: Magmatic-hydrothermal, high-sulphidation (HS) epithermal

Provenance: Chelopech Mine, Bulgaria

Description: Massive enargite (centimetric anhedral, dark gray crystals with submetallic luster and perfect cleavage) with subordinate pyrite micrograins in quartz gangue (interstitial, greenish due to the presence of inclusions). The presence of enargite denotes the high-sulphidation character of the mineralization.
