Ore deposit type: Magmatic-hydrothermal, porphyry type

Provenance: Bor Cu-Au deposit, Serbia

Description: Hydrothermally altered porphyric rock containing disseminated pyrite and cut by a pyrite veinlet (yellow sub-millimetric crystals, metallic luster). The rock underwent a pervasive silicic/argillic alteration that almost totally obliterated the original magmatic texture.
